The Griffin family have been making and restoring furniture for over 100 years as far back as the Victorian era. You could say at this stage it’s in our blood. In that time we have worked on restoring furniture in numerous major buildings and government departments too many to mention and some that are in the history books. William Griffin, Terrys grandfather did extensive repairs to the carved surrounds in St Patricks Cathedral. His father Felix Griffin a renowned woodcarver and restorer, amongst other things, also worked on St Patricks as well as Dublin Castle and the Casino at Marino. Now we’re finished namedropping on to more recent history. Established in 1981 by the man himself. Terence Griffin Furniture Restoration is carrying on the Family tradition. Having worked on many repair and restoration projects over the years including Dublins Mansion House, City Hall and the Freemasons Lodge. His experience speaks for itself and he is as comfortable repairing the Ambassadors dining table as he is your Aunty Mabels Davenport.
So whether it’s a valuable antique or family heirloom or you’d like to talk to us about a commercial project our restoration workshop is the place to go.
