We specialise in the repair and restoration of quality furniture from all periods. Our traditional restoration workshop is equipped with tools from all eras and skills handed down from Father to Son. We are a tight knit team, headed up by Terry himself who if he’s not actually hands on doing your restoration, will definitely be overseeing it. We’re not saying he’s a control freak, but nothing leaves the workshop without getting his seal of approval.
With such experience comes a diversity of skills, we pride ourselves on having a huge range of services under one roof. We think nothing of taking on wood carving, wood turning, French polishing, upholstery and cabinet making projects or replacing desk top leathers and finishing with a traditional gold trim. To us it’s more than just furniture restoration, we pride ourselves on bringing your family heirlooms back to live.

Leatherwork
An unusual skill these days, we can repair or replace your desk top leathers with traditional gold embellishments. So don’t leave your bureau, desk or sideboard looking shabby, we can restore it to it’s former glory.

Cabinet Making
Precision, skill and craftsmanship are what goes into bespoke cabinet making, all of which we have in spades. Adept at both restoration and remaking elements of existing furniture to blend seamlessly or building the very finest unique pieces to your specifications. We take pride in our ability to repair and duplicate furniture, completing a broken set or creating a completely new piece to co-ordinate with what’s already loved in your home. The old skills of hand dovetailing, mortise and tenoning, mitre joints and inlays are our traditional ways of working.

French Polishing
Patience & Touch
Revive your furniture by bringing it’s lustre back to life. We can strip and polish any piece, delicately removing years of wear and tear and then hand polish it back to a new lease of life. We also lacquer and colour wash surfaces to create your desired finish.

We take on a huge variety of projects as you will see from our before and after gallery. Whether you need to restore your furniture to it’s original condition, or you just need to get it functional…we work to either brief. Advising on all costs prior to commencing the project is standard and any changes or unforeseen issues are brought to you as soon as they arise, communciation is important to our process.
